Michael David Smallwood, age 55 of Bremen, Georgia died Thursday, June 20, 2019.

Mr. Smallwood was born in Fulton County, Georgia on September 27, 1963, the son of the late Adel Hubert Smallwood and Christine Vaughn Capps Smallwood. He was a truck driver in the waste industry for 30 plus years and was a winner in the National Truck Driver Rodeo. His hobbies were racing, showing and restoring old muscle cars and he won best in show many times.

Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Linda Capps of Carrollton, Garland and Jackie Capps of Douglasville, Terry and Diane Smallwood of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Victoria and Michael Payne of Hoschton, Georgia and many nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Saturday, June 22 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Funeral service will be Sunday, June 23 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Pastor Jacky Brooks officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Capps, Garland Capps, Terry Smallwood, Josh Smallwood, Chuck Roberts and Michael Payne. 

Interment will be in Oak Hill Church Cemetery in Temple, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in his name to a charity of your choice.
