James “Donald” Gresham, age 86 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away July 29, 2019. He was born September 11, 1932 in Carroll County, Georgia, son of the late Melvin Gresham and Opal Estelle Vaughn Gresham.
He worked for Douglas and Lomason and was a member of Eureka Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by step-father, J.W. Lawhorn; brother, Michael Cage Gresham; sisters, Lena Beatrice Mayfield, and Autry Frank Harden.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Buchanan of Carrollton and Mary Jane Kinard of Carrollton; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Sister Michelle Padgett officiating and Eulogist will be Tina Norman.
Interment will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery with Jeff Norman, Mickey Carroll, Jud Hardy, Allen Crawford, Chris Brooks, and Larry Hardy serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
