Terry Hoyt Freeman, age 73 of Whitesburg, Georgia, passed away on Friday evening, August 9, 2019. He was born January 9, 1946 in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of the late, Carl Freeman, Jr. and the late Opal Duke Freeman.
He graduated from South Cobb High School, and worked thirty-years for UPS, retiring as a feeder driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Driver Freeman.
He is survived by his daughters: Terri Ann Freeman (Greg Roberts) and Tabitha Freeman, all of Whitesburg, Georgia; sisters: Judy Brown (Don) of Tallapoosa, Georgia, and Tammy Keaton of Powder Springs, Georgia; brothers: Sherlon Freeman and Steve Freeman, both of Douglasville, Georgia; brother-in-law, Paul and Linda Driver of Roopville; two grandchildren: Teryn Priest and Ryan O’Shields; and three great grandchildren: Noah Ward, Kenzie Drysdale, and Gaitlin O’Shields.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Mike McNeese officiating.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Todd Freeman, Trevor Freeman, Troy Brown, Tim Keaton, Corey Wages, Henslee Lockridge, Toby Freeman, and Maddox Freeman. Interment will follow in St. Pauls’ Methodist Church Cemetery on Jones Mill Road in Whitesburg, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
