Carolyn Jeanne Wells Sneddon, affectionately called Nana, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away at the age of 77 on Tuesday, September 24, 2019.

Mrs. Sneddon was born in Carbon, Indiana on September 26, 1941, the daughter of the late Harry Miller Wells and Julia Jean Targett Wells. She was a graduate of Van Buren High School where she was a Drum Major. During her working career she worked at the First United Methodist Church as the financial secretary for 14 years. She was a member of the Agape Sunday School Class, Katie Downs Circle, Eastern Star, 4-H and Carrollton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, James “Jim” Sneddon; children and their spouses, James “Jimmy” and Jane Sneddon of Harvest, Alabama, Julie and Randy Sisson of Carrollton, Jana and Steven Prince of Woodland, Georgia; Jay Sneddon of Carrollton; grandchildren, J.R. (Katherine) Sneddon, Matt Sneddon, Leah Sneddon, Ben Sisson, Luke Sisson, Sam Sisson, Massey (fiancé, Beth) Prince, Lance (fiance, Lexi) Prince, Justin Prince, Jordan Sneddon (mother, Amy Sneddon), Alana Sneddon (mother, Dawn Adair); brother and sister-in-law, Harry Lee (Judy) Wells of Brazil, Indiana; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry Ann (Bob) Lybarger of Lizton, Indiana and numerous extended family. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first born son, Harry William Sneddon; grandson, Dean Samuel Sisson. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at The Oak’s for their loving care.

A memorial service will be held at Carrollton First United Methodist Church Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Larry Patton, Rev. Ken Stephens and Rev. Briggs Smith officiating. Music will be by Tony Childers, Cheryl Childers and Pat Reynolds.

The family will receive friends in the Gathering Room of Carrollton First United Methodist Church from 12 noon until the service hour.
