Reba Inez Bass Pate, age 86, of Carrollton passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019. She was born December 15, 1932 in Carrollton the daughter of the late Mr. John Coleman Bass and the late Mrs. Eula Mae Gladney Bass. M
rs. Pate worked for Bellsouth as an operator and later became a Substitute Teacher. She worked at Tanner Medical Center as a switch board operator and for Carroll EMC, as a cashier for many years. She loved to play the piano and organ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wayne Pate; brothers, Coy Bass and Wilson Bass; sisters, Sarah Clovis Dobbs and Winnie Sullivan.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Trina and Joel Hubbard of Carrollton; sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Donna Pate of Carrollton, Jeff and Lisa Pate of Villa Rica; sister, Ronelle Bass Pate of Atlanta; sister-in-law, Ruth Fuller Bass of Adairsville; grandchildren, Joshua(Mary) Hubbard, Tyler (Julia) Hubbard, Dustin (Kelli) Pate, Cagney (Sherie) Walker, Cody (Samantha) Pate, Sara (Blake) Lorenz; great grandchildren, Jack and Andrew Hubbard, Bella Hubbard, Lucas and Lincoln Walker; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Mrs. Pate will lie in state Friday, October 25, 2019 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Cross Plains Christian Church. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, October 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Cross Plains Christian Church in Carrollton, with Minister Tony Sullivan and Minister Mike Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at Cross Plains Christian Church Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
