Julia Ricks Carnes, age 83 of Carrollton, GA passed away October 22, 2019. She was born January 01, 1936 in Sand Hill Georgia, daughter to the late Raymond Ricks and Ione Smith Ricks.
She was a Villa Rica High School graduate and received her degree in cosmetology from the Artistic Beauty Institute of Atlanta, Georgia. She was a beautician and co-owner of Julia and Joan’s Beauty Shop in Dallas, GA for 30 years and was a member of Midway Macedonia Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Carnes. She is survived by her son, Phillip Andrew Carnes.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday October 28, 2019 from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Minister Allen Howard officiating.
