Mrs. Josie Aline Braggs Daniel passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 after an extended illness. She was born in Cleburne County, Alabama, on February 16, 1933 to Grady P. Braggs and Erma Lee Brown Braggs.
She married her sweetheart, Jimmie Davis Daniel on December 21, 1951. They met at an ice cream social and it was love at first sight. They were married for almost 40 years before he passed away on December 3, 1991. She retired from LaMar Mfg. Co. in Bowdon. During her retirement years, she enjoyed spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her sisters. She and her sisters went shopping every week and made frequent visits to Dollywood. She was the oldest remaining original member of the Bowdon Church of God. She attended there, where she taught Sunday School until her health failed. She was in church, as often as her health allowed, until the end. She was a great cook. She was well known for her chicken dressing and fudge brownies (lovingly known as Mawmaw’s brownies). She always hosted Christmas Eve at her house every year. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
She leaves to grieve for her, a daughter, Darlene (Darrell) Hill of Carrollton; three grandchildren: Heather Hill Peterman (Mitchell) of Bremen, Holly Hill Williams (Nathan) of Villa Rica, and Logan Hill (Ashleigh) of Carrollton; eight great-grandchildren: Madison Tallent Smith (Toby) of Cartersville, EmmaLee Reaves of Bremen, Noah Reaves also of Bremen, Lilly Williams of Villa Rica, London Williams also of Villa Rica, Maddox Peterman of Bremen, A. J. Hill and Lincoln Hill, both of Carrollton; two sisters: Bonnie Farmer of Bowdon, and Erlene Fordham (Jimmy) of Carrollton.
