Martha Jeanette North, age 79 passed away Friday, May 1, 2020. She was born April 30, 1941 in Fulton County, Georgia, daughter to the late Hubert Hollis Pierce and Mabel Cook Pierce.
She worked as a hair dresser for more than 25 years and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Jeanette loved people and never met a stranger. She enjoyed traveling and talking to new friends. Crocheting beautiful blankets for her children and grandchildren was a favorite pastime. Above all, she loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were what she cherished the most.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister, Mary Joiner; and brothers, Wayman Pierce, James Pierce, and Herman Pierce.
She is survived by her husband, Kermit Denver North of Carrollton; her children, Chuck Denver North and his wife, Tina of White Plains, AL, Rhonda Dawn Waddell and her husband, Phil of Carrabelle, FL, and Curtis Dwayne North and his wife, Heather of Carrollton; two brothers, Donald Pierce and Paul Pierce; grandchildren, Kaila (Kiel) Mashburn, Kelli (Blake) Robinson, Sydney North, Riley Waddell, Logan North, and Alysa North; and great grandchildren, Gunner Robinson, Miller Mashburn, Denver Robinson, Maya Robinson, and Marlo Mashburn.
Graveside service will be conducted Monday, May 4, 2020 with Bro. Luke Pollock officiating. Pallbearers will be Greg Pierce, Ronnie Joiner, Michael North, Tim North, Mitchell North and Jeff North.
Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Joiner, Todd Pierce, Bill Nida, Scotty Wages, Mark Glaccum, Greg Bell, and Ottis Bell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org .
