ATLANTA (June 2, 2020) | Today, Lt. Governor Duncan announced the appointment of Senator Matt Brass to the Senate Rules Committee.
“Georgians should have great confidence that Senator Brass will work diligently on the Senate Rules Committee to positively shape public policy and advance our entire state forward,” said Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan. “I am confident Senator Brass will bring valuable insight to matters that come before Senate Rules, as they examine which bills move to a full vote on the Senate floor.”
Once a piece of legislation passes its assigned Senate Committee, it moves to the Senate Rules Committee for further consideration. If the Rules Committee votes to recommend the legislation for the Rules calendar, the proposed law will move to the Senate floor for a vote by the entire Senate body.
