William F. Carroll, age 76 of Fort Payne, Alabama, passed away June 1, 2020 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. He was born September 14, 1943 in Carroll County, Georgia, son of the late Preston Frank Carroll and the late Nancy Elizabeth Holmes Carroll.
He retired in March from Renfro Corporation after many years of service.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Burt, and brother, Marty Carroll.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Carroll of Fort Payne; daughter and son-in-law, Connie Michelle and Stan Bailey of Carrollton; daughter, Lynn Spray of Bowdon; sister, Nancy Strickland of Carrollton; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 4:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. David Blackwelder, Rev. Bruce Spray, and Rev. William Spray officiating. In keeping with the family’s wishes, his body will be cremated following the service.
