Marian Elizabeth “Prissi” Sullivan, age 69 of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Prissi was born in Macon, Georgia on April 1, 1951 the daughter of the late Noah Lee Lumpkin and Marian Lane Durden Lumpkin.
She graduated from Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. She was a former educator and most recently worked many years as a reporter with Star News as well as with the U. S. Census Bureau. Prissi had a great love for her community, which is reflected in her diligent work and association as a member of the Golden City Lions Club, founding member of the West Georgia Soccer Association, board member of the former Villa Rica Midget Football Association, and she also served on the Villa Rica Recreation Advisory Board. Prissi enjoyed many hobbies to include scrap booking, painting, and traveling. The theater was another love of hers and she had the opportunity to be actively involved with the Powell Park Players. She was also a Sweet Potato Queens Wanabe, of drama queen group. She also spent many fun days as a “Red Hat Mama” and is the founder of the Sisters of Hatitude. She was Seventh Day Adventist by faith.
Prissi was a woman of faith, loved her family, vivacious, and full of life and laughter. That beautiful smile of hers was contagious; she was warm, caring and genuinely hospitable. To know her, was to love her, and she will be warmly remembered by all who knew her.

Prissi is survived by her beloved husband, David Sullivan; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Drew
Pounds of Temple, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law Jeffery and Dana Sullivan of Dallas, Georgia; grandchildren, Westyn Danny Sullivan, Chandler David Pounds and Tinley Elizabeth Sullivan; brother, Sidney Lumpkin, Medford, Oregon. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will have two visitation times on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Seniors over the age of 65 and those classified in the at-risk category, are asked to pay their respects between the hours of 10:00 and 12:00 p.m. All other friends and family are asked to pay their respects between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.

The graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Villa Rica, Georgia on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. John Latimer officiating, and Drew Pounds, Sue Horn, Valerie Runyon, and David Lumpkin will deliver the eulogy. Those serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Barnwell, Adam Blackmon, John Rakestraw, Clint Chance, David Lumpkin and Sean Sullivan. Lukas Sullivan will serve as honorary pallbearer. Seating will be limited and those who attend are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
