Tim “Bubba” Williamson, age 70, of Franklin, Georgia passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Mr. Williamson was born in Carroll County, Georgia on January 25, 1953, the son of the late Russell Dean Williamson and Elsie Ruth Jones Williamson.

He was a master welder specializing in aluminum and owned Williamson Welding Services. Throughout his career he subcontracted with Aubrey Silvey and Service Electric. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Scottsboro, Alabama and Roopville Road Baptist Church. Tim was an avid fisherman, having to be known to fish rather than work, enjoyed golf but above all loved and cherished his time with his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Lee Williams of Carrollton; son and daughter-in-law, JT and Caitlin Williamson of Franklin; grandchildren, Josh (Samantha) Williams, Katie (Tanner) McClure, Ezekiel Williamson; great granddaughters, Alayna Williams, Jade Williams; sister-in-law, Diane Williamson; nieces, Beth (Bryant) Turner, Jennifer (Shannon) Robinson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Williamson and Tyre Williamson.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 1 pm to 3 pm at Roopville Road Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3 pm at Roopville Road Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Peeples officiating.

Pallbearers will be Joe Turner, Vann Edwards, Jeff Barr, Stephen Mize, Charles Timms, Josh Williams, Tanner McClure and Lee Williams.

Interment will be in Roopville Road Baptist Church Cemetery.
