Tyrone David Hartness, age 83, of Douglasville, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023. He was born May 3, 1940 in Pawhuska, OK to the late Mr. Bennie Hartness and the late Mrs. Letha Hartness.

Tyrone’s career as an iron worker spanned numerous years and took him to various corners of our nation. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tyrone devoted a considerable portion of his life to serving as a pastor at the Church of God of Prophecy for an impressive period of 25 years. Outside of work and ministry, Tyrone had a profound love for bass fishing and yardwork—activities that brought him great joy and peace.  Above all else, Tyrone cherished two aspects of his life deeply: his family and his loving wife. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Arvetta Suzanne Kiselewski; brothers, Danny Ray Hartness and Ezra Wilbur Hartness.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Naomi Hartness of Douglasville; daughters, Danette Dee (Rodney) Clark of Bluff, New Zealand, Evie Hartness of Douglasville; son, Tyrone David (Lisa) Hartness, Jr. of Bloomington, IL; sister, Connie “Brandy” (Sherman) Willis of Pampa, TX; grandchildren, Joshua Adam Kiselewski, Megan Nichole (Chris) Haney, Morgan Brittany Watts, Christopher Eugene (Serena) Watts, Jr., Ryan Michael Hartness, Emma Marie Hartness, Peyton Elizabeth Hartness, Kyle Sheffield; great grandchildren, MaKaylin Sky Kiselewski, Landyn Addison Kiselewski, Zaidyn Gabriel Kiselewski, Hailey Sue Kiselewski, Jake Hone Goodwillie, Ella Dee Watts, Cashus Tyrone Carrodus, Kristian David Lee Kiselewski-Buckner and Olivia Michael Haney.

According to Mr. Hartness’ wishes, he was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Details will be shared via social media.
