Billie Warren Smith age 83, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024. Mr. Smith was born in Carrollton, Georgia on February 28, 1941 to the late Lemuel O. Smith and Susie Carden Smith. He grew up in Carrollton and attended Mt.Zion High School where he played football for the Eagles. Upon graduation, he became an auto mechanic for Kelly Springfield and retired after 25 years. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, wood working, hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He also enjoyed getting together with many of his old football buddies and retelling the stories of their football careers, as well as attending football games at Mt. Zion High School.

He is survived by his daughters Renee (Burrel III) Bailey, Lynn (Scott) Newman, Amy (Raymond) Ivey; his step-children Terry and Michele Couch, Lena Sensing, and Kristy Couch; his grandchildren Alyshia Jones, Burrel Bailey IV, Blake Owen Newman, Amanda Puckett, Karl Bearden and Taylor Spruill; step grandchildren; step great-grandchildren; his sister Corine Williams; nieces and nephews; the mother of his children Melba Parmer; and his best friend Paul Adams. He is preceded in death by his wife of 25 years Lynda Marie Smith, his siblings Coley Smith, W.D. Smith, Sue Cosper, Evelyn Caldwell, Betty Green, and Iola Cole.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 11:30 AM from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the service hour.
