Charlene Evans Crowder, age 62, of Carrollton, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 6, 2024. She was born on October 7, 1961, in Villa Rica, Georgia, the daughter of the late James Clifford Evans and Liddell Johnny Quinn Evans.
Charlene was an exceptional woman who devoted her life to serving others. Although her home church was Macedonia Baptist Church, she found great joy in visiting other churches in the community and being able to fellowship and serve in various locations. Charlene’s unwavering faith and kindness towards others made her a beloved member of the church community.
In addition to her service at the church, Charlene worked as a truck driver for 11 years. More recently, she worked as a home health aide for Live Oak Caregivers. She was known for her caring and compassionate nature, and her clients always appreciated her dedication and commitment to their well-being. Charlene’s work as a home health aide was not just a job to her—it was a calling. She saw her work as a way to make a positive impact on the lives of others, and she took great pride in helping her clients live their best lives.
Overall, Charlene’s life was a testament to the power of service and kindness. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched during her time with us.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Casey Crowder; children, Chasity & Tim Swain, Crystal Crowder, Samuel Crowder, Jeremiah Crowder, Vonetta Thomaston, Rhiannon Cousins, Kadon Cousins; sisters, Levurne Evans and Linda Wilkins; twin brother, Charles & Marlyn Evans; brothers, Robert Evans and Leroy Evans; grandchildren, Caziah Ridley, Lahnir Swain, Kimora Swain, and Vision Thomaston; great-grandchild, Major Ridley; and several nieces and nephews.
