Dustin “Shea” Todd, 52, formerly of Roopville, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2024.

In this world, Shea was like an onion. His life consisted of many layers. He went through many trials and tribulations, but if you peeled back those layers, he was charming, generous, amusing, creative, and just an overall fun person to be around. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone who struggled. His love for the outdoors was profound, and fishing was his passion. He was an ethical hunter and did not like to see anything suffer. He was also interested in ancient Indian art and enjoyed searching for Indian artifacts, such as arrowheads, in his spare time. Shea was very skilled with his hands and used this gift to build and draw anything he imagined. When he could work, he enjoyed carpentry and loved to be on tractors of all kinds.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Johnston Todd.

He leaves behind his daughter, Shayna Lynn Wilterding; his four grandchildren, Aubree, Austin, Lucas, and Liam; his best friend and confidant, Jill Hughes Johnson; his father, Danny Vinson Todd; his sister, Marcie Todd Langley; and many other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate Shea’s life on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 2:30 PM from Martin & Hightower Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Marshall officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his funeral expenses on his obituary page by clicking the “Donate Now” Button at the top of his webpage.

For those who knew him, he left behind an abundance of GOOD memories, and that should be his legacy. He would’ve wanted us all to honor and celebrate his life in happiness!

“Your presence I miss, your memory I treasure, loving you always, forgetting you never.”

Condolence messages can be sent to the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
