Tanner Urgent Care for Kids, the region’s only urgent care practice designed just for kids ages 0 to 18, is now open in Carrollton.
Because when your child is sick or gets hurt, you may not need to go to the ER, but maybe you can’t wait for a doctor’s appointment. Now you don’t have to.
Led by Tanner Health pediatricians, the new urgent care center and walk-in clinic is located inside Tanner Health Pavilion, directly across from the Tanner Healthcare for Kids pediatric practice. It’s open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Our families asked us for more services and flexibility, and we listened,” said Steven Eubanks, MD, medical director and longtime Tanner Health pediatrician. “We’re thrilled to open our new kid-friendly clinic and help give parents and caregivers the peace of mind that we’re even more available to care for their children, with extended hours during the week and on weekends.”
For more convenience and less waiting, Tanner Urgent Care for Kids offers the same On My Way functionality as our other urgent care sites. Families needing an urgent care visit can choose to log on to the Tanner MyChart app with their child’s name, reserve their child’s spot in line and skip the waiting room.
Tanner Urgent Care for Kids is a full-service clinic with 14 exam rooms. We’re convenient too, with:
- X-rays and splinting in clinic for broken bones
- Prescriptions available on-site, with the in-house dispensary and Tanner Retail Pharmacy
- In-house catheterization for UTIs or other concernsÂ
- Treatment for everything from burns and scrapes to viral illnesses and upset stomach, along with sports physicalsÂ
A ribbon-cutting for the 5,200-square-foot space was held on July 31, featuring Tanner Health’s mascot, Tanny the Turtle.
