Frank “Earl” Read, III, of Temple, GA, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the age of 67. He was born on August 19, 1957, in Fulton County, GA, to the late Frank Earl Read, Jr. and Pansey Hazel Morgan Read.
Earl dedicated the majority of his career to plumbing, retiring from Alpha Plumbing before spending ten years working with Superior Recreation Products. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves, and Georgia Bulldogs, always cheering on his favorite teams. In his free time, he enjoyed playing video games, fishing, and, most of all, spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Read; daughter, Kaitlin Read; son, Frank Read, IV; and grandchildren, Blayze Bolt and Teagan Read. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Almon Funeral Home, with Rev. Randy Shirley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service.
