Willie “Bill” Franklin Fowler, Sr., 87, of Carrollton, Georgia, entered his heavenly home on Friday, March 21, 2025. He was born to Guy and Mamie Fowler on November 29, 1937, in Buford, GA.

Bill served his country in the United States Army and was a businessman, owning service stations and a restaurant in the Marietta, Douglasville, and Whitesburg areas. He also owned a video game business, partnering with convenience stores and small shops. He worked at Lockheed for several years and, to end his career, drove a school bus for Coweta County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, vintage cars, and working on mechanical things, which he taught his sons. Bill he loved listening to old church hymns, especially the Gaither’s while working in his shop or tinkering on his antique cars.

In addition to his mother and father, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Sara Ellen Holbrook; brothers, Bob Fowler and James Fowler; and a grandchild, Tara Fowler. 

Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances Fowler, and their two sons, Doyle (Debbie) Fowler and Bill (Denise) Fowler. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Brooke Floyd (Dylan), Megan Fowler, Brittney Fowler, Jordan Kinnard (Daniel), and Brannon Fowler, along with seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Noon in the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Carroll Memory Gardens.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on Saturday, March 29, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
