The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce was proud to host a Ribbon Cutting and Open House for the West Georgia Child Advocacy Center (WGAC), celebrating the organization’s recent name change and continued dedication to protecting children and strengthening families in our community.
Formerly known as the Carroll County Child Advocacy Center, the organization updated its name to West Georgia Child Advocacy Center to better reflect its growing regional impact and to expand its reach across neighboring counties. The new name represents a broader commitment to serving children and families throughout West Georgia.
Supporters, community leaders, and advocates gathered for the event, which also featured an introduction to WGAC’s Green Dot prevention training bystander intervention program that empowers individuals to act, speak out, and help prevent violence before it begins.
The afternoon served as a reminder of the critical role advocacy and education play in building a safer, more informed community for all.
