Faye Jackson, 81, of Whitesburg, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. She was born on July 12, 1943, in Bowdon, Georgia, to the late John Moore and Mollie Smith Moore.
Faye had an unwavering devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which was reflected in her active participation as a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Whitesburg. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life.
As a dedicated homemaker, Faye poured her heart into her role as a mother, creating a nurturing environment for her children. She was passionate about cooking, often preparing delicious family meals that brought everyone together. Her love for gardening yielded a vibrant array of flowers and vegetables that filled their home with life and beauty.
When her children became more independent, Faye took on the responsibility of co-managing the Whitesburg Trading Post alongside her husband, Dude. This venture allowed her to connect with the local community and utilize her skills in a new capacity.
Later, Faye transitioned into a position in the cafeteria at Central Middle School, where she worked for a decade. This role was particularly fulfilling for her, as she cherished the opportunity to foster relationships with teachers and students. Her warm personality and caring nature made her a beloved friend to many, who will remember her kindness and dedication.
Faye is survived by her loving husband, William “Dude” A. Jackson; her children, Dennis Jackson, Susan Jackson, Kathy and Warren Collinsworth, and David and Diana Jackson; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Jackson, Andrew Collinsworth, Shawn Moore, and Mason Jackson; and her beloved dog, Missy, who is 15 years old.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings.
Following Faye’s wishes, her body will be cremated, and the family will hold a memorial service at her church to honor and celebrate her life in the coming weeks.
