Rev. Bobby Fred Robinson, a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful servant of Christ, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family. A man of unwavering faith and gentle strength, Bobby dedicated his life to serving others and guiding them toward the hope and grace found in Jesus Christ. Though he will be deeply missed by those who love him, we rejoice in knowing that he now rests in the presence of his Savior.

Born on January 19, 1938, in Cleburne County, Alabama, Bobby was the son of Jesse Ray Robinson and Bernice Huey Robinson. He married the love of his life, Charlotte Hurston, on January 8, 1965, and together they built a life marked by love, faith, and service.

Bobby joined the United States Navy in January 1956 and served until December 1964. He spent six years aboard a ship and two years in the ready reserve. After leaving the Navy, he worked as a mechanic at Smitty’s in Downtown Carrollton. In 1969, he began his ministry by preaching at nursing homes. He became the pastor of Unity Baptist Church in Roosterville, Georgia, in 1980 and served in that role for two terms, retiring from ministry in 2012. After retiring, he remained a dedicated member of Beulah Baptist Church. For more than four decades, Bobby led a nursing home ministry, most recently sharing Christ’s love with the residents of Carrollton Manor.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlotte Hurston Robinson; his children, Michelle Robinson, Stacy Robinson, and Stephen Robinson; his grandchildren, Adreana Beaumont, Dawson Howard, Ryan Cotton, Jacob Cotton, Mary Robinson, Sarah Robinson, and Luna Robinson; and his great-grandchildren, Asher Beaumont and Ronan Beaumont. He is also survived by his siblings, Henry Robinson, Gerald Robinson, Cecil Robinson, Evelyn Thompson, Patricia Blanks, Becky Waldrep, Jenny Coleman, Jimmy Robinson, and Kathy Meigs, as well as an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Haley Cotton, and his siblings Charles Robinson, Tommy Robinson, Annie Lee Stone, and Helen Liles.

The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

A service to celebrate Bobby’s life and legacy will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Beulah Baptist Church, with Rev. Keith Horsley and Rev. Stephen Robinson officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will include Jacob Cotton, Ryan Cotton, Randy Hamilton, James Beaumont, and Dean Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Robinson, Gerald Robinson, Cecil Robinson, Jimmy Robinson, and Dawson Howard.
