Glenda Akers Simpson, 80 of Bremen, passed away on July 7, 2025 in a local healthcare facility.
She was born on August 15, 1944 in Carrollton, Georgia the daughter of the late Homer Akers and Myrtle Bradley Akers.
Glenda was a retired seamstress with Sewell Manufacturing Company. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Nammon Akers.
Survivors include sisters, Medra Morgan (Rex) of Carrollton, Melba Akers of Graham, AL and Nelda Langley of Carrollton; brothers, Winton Akers (Judy) of Carrollton and Waymon Akers (Linda) of Newnan. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside services will be conducted on July 9, 2025 at 11 am from Pleasant View Baptist Church with Reverend Joey Akers and Reverend Bobby Joe Driver officiating.
