Brenda Stanley Johnston, age 76, of Bremen, passed away on August 30, 2025, at a local healthcare facility. She was born in Tampa, Florida on October 2, 1948, the daughter of the late Sherman Stanley and Mildred Carroll Stanley. She was a homemaker and a member of Waco Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Frank Johnston; a daughter, Leandria Johnston; a sister, Candy Drenth; and brothers, Robert Carroll Stanley and Stan Stanley.
Survivors include her children, Kelly Crawford (Steve) of Bremen, Crystal Jackson (Willis) of Bremen, and Brenee Vasquez (Ricardo) of Heflin, Alabama; grandchildren, Emerald Jackson of Bremen, Vandon Jackson of Bremen, Coty Crawford of Bremen, and Daylon Locke of Heflin.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Services will be conducted on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Minister Jeff Clark officiating and Coty Crawford and Vandon Jackson delivering eulogies. Coty Crawford, Vandon Jackson, Daylon Locke, Bobby Dean, Ricardo Vasquez, and Josh Sauls will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Garden.
