Ruby Weathington Purgason, age 89 of Carrollton, passed away January 27, 2018. She was born March 5, 1928 in Carroll County, Georgia, daughter to the late Jim Weathington and Tiney Anderson Weathington.
She worked for Carroll Mills for more than 32 years and was baptist by faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Grove C. Purgason; sisters, Rosie Carroll, Mae Perry, Odell Fortner and Ezma Webb; and brother, Thomas Mac Weathington.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra P. McGraw (Larry) Lilburn, GA; two grandchildren, Ben McGraw of Snellville, and Lauri Michael of Lilburn; great grandchild, Katy McGraw of Ellijay.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 11:00 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
