Homer “Harold” Hudson, age 80 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018. He was born August 20, 1937 in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of the late Fred Hudson and the late Ruth Bradley Hudson.
He was retired from Southwire with thirty-seven years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Mrytle Smith, Mildred Bell, and Freddie Collins. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mrs. Zelma Bivins Hudson; daughter and son-in-law, Pam & Matt James of Rockmart, Georgia; son, Mark Hudson also of Rockmart; sister, Betty Ponder of Villa Rica; two grandchildren: Tiffany Marie Midkiff and Mason Hudson; and four great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Marie Midkiff Cayrruth, Marissa Haley Midkiff, Kiley Jade Midkiff and Megan Paige Midkiff; and one great-great-grandchild, Waylon Bray Cayrruth.
Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 3:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Wendell Hurston and Rev. Alan Jones officiating.
Eulogy presented by Ms. Patsy Smith. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Hudson, Mason Hudson, Matt James, Steve Bivins, Larry Smith, Jimmy Smith, and Logan Harper. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
