Curtis Martin League, age 84 of Roopville, passed away April 21, 2020. He was born May 8, 1935 in Waco, Georgia, son of the late Mose League and Mary Pearl Brice League. He proudly served in the United States Air Force.
He was a retired truck driver with Southwire and following his retirement, he drove a special needs bus for Carroll County special needs school. He was a member at Old Pathway Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for 45 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Verda Davis League; and daughter, Cyndi League Walker.
He is survived by his children, Greg and Tori League of Ephesus, Teri and Michael Arrington of Woodland, AL, Laura League of Bowdon, Lisa and Bobby Patterson of Carrollton, and Tracy Sprayberry of Carrollton; ten grandchildren, Jeremy and Teresa McKinney, Brandon Patterson, Nathan and Jasmine League, Jacob and Lisa McKinney, Amber and Chris Sutton, Chad and Tracy Marlow, Heather and Ben Young, Dustin and Jennifer Patterson, and Gabbi and Chris Saine; sixteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside service will be conducted Friday, April 24, 2020 at 2:00 PM from Carroll Memory Gardens with Dr. Stephen Peeples and Rev. John Lemmings officiating.
