Comedian Sam Adams will bring his all-ages, family-friendly show to the Carrollton Center for the Arts, March 5.

“After all the pressures and challenges of the past year, we wanted to add a show to our season to help people escape,” said Arts Superintendent Tim Chapman. “Sam Adams’ show is perfect for that. He is witty, smart, has a unique way with words and will make you laugh until you cry.”

Adams worked for three decades as a sports journalist for the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News in Colorado and was inducted to the Denver Press Club Hall of Fame in 2019. After the News’ closure in 2009, Adams won at the Great American Comedy Festival. He’s performed standup full-time ever since. Clips from Adams’ Dry Bar Comedy special, Incoherently True, have netted more than 40 million social media views since the special’s release in 2018.

“It’s a chance for me to perform for the first time in my parents’ home state,” said Adams of the Carrollton show. “The venue will be following protocol for Covid-19, so I look forward to making people laugh loudly through their masks.”

Seating is limited and masks are required. Temperature will be taken before admission.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youth (12 and under) and can be purchased online at https://cprcad.myboxoffice.us/, by phone at (770) 838-1083 or at the Center for the Arts box office at 251 Alabama Street in Carrollton.
