Sadie Ann Shelnutt, age 74, of Temple, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 11, 1950, she was the cherished daughter of the late Phillip Woody and Velma Burdette Woody.
Sadie was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Nelson Shelnutt, and a proud mother to her children, Alisha Ann Williams and Neal and Tarina Shelnutt. She was also a treasured sister, leaving behind her siblings Virginia Eaves, Janice Wright, and Geraldine Adams. Sadie’s legacy continues through her three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.
Throughout her life, Sadie was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support of her family. She had a gift for bringing people together and creating a loving home filled with laughter and compassion.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 12:30 PM until the service time. Graveside services for Mrs. Sadie Ann Shelnutt will be held at 2 PM at Draketown Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by her son, Neal Shelnutt.
