Harold Carey Weaver, Jr. of Bremen, age 59, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, October 21, 2024. He was born September 14, 1965, son of Freddie Mae Weaver and the late Harold Carey Weaver, Sr.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jordyn Davis. Harold and Takeitha were married for fourteen wonderful years. He joined Friendship Baptist Church in Wadley, Alabama and later attended Rainey Road Church of Christ in Temple. He served our country for fourteen years in the US Army as Master Chef and worked as a Machine Operator for Southwire for twenty-two years. He loved fishing and eating his catch, especially catfish. He loved listening to music but most of all he loved his family. He adored and was adored by his children and grandchildren. He was crazy about his girls.
Including his mother, he is survived by his wife, Takeitha Weaver; children, Kandis Weaver of Carrollton, Taneika Weaver and Cheresa Weaver, both of Douglasville, Zachary M. Cook and Makenzy S. Vaughn, both of Bremen; a sister Jennifer (Tim) Green of Wedowee, Alabama; grandchildren Ja’Quavion English of Carrollton, Cassidy Pope and Jeremiah Davis, both of Douglasville; nieces. Danielle (Julian) and Naomi; and nephews, Timothy (Kierra), Qua, Kasen and Kameron.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
Services will be Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 3:00 pm (ET) from Friendship Baptist Church at 5979 County Road 26, Wadley, Alabama 36276 with Reverend Timothy Huguley and Minister Steve Edmerson officiating. The cousins will serve as Pallbearers, as well as family will serve as flower girls.
