Peggy Eidson Lee, 82, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was born on October 3, 1942, to the late Merlin Marcus Eidson and Frances “Louise” Walker Eidson.

Peggy was a dedicated and active member of Bethesda Baptist Church, where she nurtured her faith from the age of 13. Her unwavering belief was foundational to her life, and she cherished her relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ, attending services regularly and participating in various church activities.

In 1960, Peggy proudly graduated from Central High School, becoming a member of its inaugural graduating class. During her time there, she earned a special distinction as the first-ever Miss Leonine, a title that celebrated her spirit and involvement within the school community.

For many years, Peggy worked as an insurance clerk at Dr. Parrish’s OBGYN practice, where her attention to detail and warm demeanor made her a valued member of the team. Yet, it was her role as a devoted wife, caring mother, and loving grandmother that defined her legacy. She poured her heart into her family, creating a nurturing home filled with love, support, and cherished memories.

Mrs. Peggy’s kindness and compassion touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of calling her family and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Captain Howard Lee; her sister, Betty Ann Smith; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Jennifer Lee.

She leaves behind cherished memories with her children: Jeff and Joan Lee, Debbie and Patrick Albright, and Jerry and Pat Lee. She is also survived by her brothers, Mark Eidson and Keith Eidson; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at Bethesda Baptist Church on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Tony Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery, with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
