Alice Nadine Henry, age 91, of Whitesburg, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026. She was born on December 19, 1934, in the Lowell Community to the late Michael Anderson Wallace and Clara Jane York Brown.
Alice attended Whitesburg School and spent many years working in the textile industry as a braider at West Georgia Mills. She was known for her strong work ethic and the pride she took in doing her job well.
Family was always at the center of Alice’s life. She was a devoted mother to her son, Charles Anthony “Andy” Henry, and a proud grandmother to Michelle Henry, Billy James Henry, and John Ross Henry. She also found great joy in her role as great-grandmother to Tyler Batchelor, Levi Batchelor, Paris Henry, McKenzie Cowart, Josie Henry, and Maddison Henry.
A faithful member of the Banning Church of God, Alice lived a life grounded in her faith. Her beliefs guided how she lived and how she cared for others, and she remained devoted to her church throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Charles Henry; her daughter, Shirley Ann Henry; her grandson, Tyler Batchelor; her brothers, Michael Samuel “Bo” Wallace and Billy Wallace; and her sisters, Louise Shuler, Jeannette Eason, Phoebe Smith, Linda Williams, and Ruth Mannis.
She is survived by her son, Andy Henry; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her brother, Rev. Gary Brown, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held to honor Alice’s life and memory on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Whitesburg Cemetery.
Alice will be remembered for her love of family, her quiet strength, and the many years she spent caring for those around her.
