Edward Duke Miller, Jr., age 80 of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018. He was born December 24, 1937 in Fulton County, Georgia, son of the late Edward Duke Miller, Sr and Patsy Rivers Jewah.
He worked as a Mechanic for Marta for more than 24 years and prior to that, he proudly served in the United States Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Plante and Patricia Winsett; and a brother, Alvin Butch Miller.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Eileene Ozment Miller of Carrollton; son, Jeffrey Duke Miller of Carrollton; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Kevin Rodgers of Temple; sisters, Nancy Brackin of Fayetteville, Susan English of Alpharetta, Vicky Bailey (Dan) of Fayetteville, and Mae Hughes of Lithia Springs; brother, Walker Miller (Patty) of Alpharetta; and one grandchild, Alexander Lee Rodgers.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, February 23, 2018 at 4:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Min. Bill Gray, and Mr. Ron Goss officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. Interment will take place Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Crest Lawn Memorial Park at 2000 Marietta Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Tim Rodgers, Brian Miller, Brandon Bailey, Derek Bailey, Scott Brackin, and Kenny Brackin. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.martin-hightower.com.
