UGA Extension Carroll County is excited to share our plans to develop the third Farm and Food Resource Guide.  More and more consumers are looking to find and purchase locally grown food and products.  A farm guide is one tool that farmers can use to help market their farm business.

We are now looking for Carroll, Haralson, and Heard County farmers who are interested in promoting their farm and products.  This guide will be geared towards any farmer who wants to promote what they are growing and selling.  Products can include fruits, vegetables, meats, hay, breeding stock, cheese, corn maze, farm tours, etc.  If you want the customer to find you then you need to be included in the farm guide.

The information you provide on the questionnaire will be included in the guide, which will be distributed at local farmers’ markets, restaurants, Chamber of Commerce, UGA Extension County office, and Tanner Health System.

If you would like to be included in the FREE guide, please complete a questionnaire and return to the UGA Carroll County Extension office by April 20.  For a copy of the questionnaire contact County Ag Agent Paula Burke at 770-836-8546 or pjburke@uga.edu.  Many thanks to Get Healthy, Live Well and Tanner Health System who will be designing and printing copies of the new farm guide.
