Join The Carroll County NAACP and Carrollton- Carroll County League of Women Voters and other local organizations and businesses, in a 50th anniversary commemorative bell ringing ceremony honoring Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ‘s death.

Spearheading the commemoration are the The King Center, Civil Rights museums, and many civic, religious, organizations, and businesses and government entities. They are encouraging all municipalities and communities nationally and internationally to participate simultaneously to recognize the non -violent principles Dr. King and others of the Civil Rights movement practiced along with fighting for continued inequities in society.

The bell ringing time line is as follows:

6:01pm central standard time (cst)-the National Civil Rights Museum Museum in Memphis Tn, the location of Dr King’s assassination.
