Travis Therrell Bearden, age 91 of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, April 08, 2018. He was born March 10, 1927 in Dawson County, Georgia, son of the late Tate Bearden and Lemma Reece Bearden. He owned and operated the Economy Auto Store in Bowdon, two convenient stores in Whitesburg, and was a truck driver for 20 years. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Voytelle Gilley Bearden; sister, Sibyl Fricks; and two brothers, Guy Bearden and Eckert Bearden.
He is survived by his wife, Sula Mae Miller Bearden of Tennessee; daughter and son-in-law, Lawana and Lamar Musick of Whitesburg; granddaughter, Dina Odom of Whitesburg; great granddaughter, Alex Yearta of Whitesburg; step-children, Kim Hines of Cookesville, TN, David Kress of Cookesville, TN, and Scott Bonner of Tennessee; brother, Eugene Bearden of Carrollton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be conducted Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:00 AM from Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Gary Brown and Pastor Jason Bowman officiating. In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Eastside Baptist Church at 42 Little New York Road, Carrollton, GA 30116.
