The City of Mount Zion has been awarded a $2 million Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) 20-year loan from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) to replace leaking water mains. This loan is a part of the $84.7 million awarded to communities throughout Georgia for infrastructure improvements.
“The City of Mount Zion has had problems with water main leakage for several years now,” said Sen. Mike Dugan (R – Carrollton). “I’m thankful that GEFA has awarded this loan to the city to address the issue and create a more efficient system for conserving water and reducing inconveniences in our communities.”
GEFA provides loan financing at a reduced interest rate for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. For more information, please follow this link: https://gefa.georgia.gov/press-releases/2018-08-21/georgia-communities-receive-infrastructure-loans-totaling-847-million
