Charles Carlton Meehan, age 80 of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, January 11, 2019.
Mr. Meehan was born in Pell City, Alabama on March 10, 1938, the son of the late Charles Patrick Meehan and Dorothy Inez Smith Meehan. He served in the United States Navy. Earlier in life he worked with Tucker Brother’s Construction and Equipment Company and later as Project Supervisor for Reynolds, Inc. He was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Sue Bradshaw Meehan; daughters, Tamera Meehan of Pell City, Alabama, Carlisa Meehan Chandler of Carrollton; son, Michael Shannon Meehan of Wilsonville, Alabama; grandchildren, Madison Wallenfang Kissic, Matthew Charles Wallenfang, Shannon Nicole Meehan, great grandchildren, Gracie, Josie, Mary Elizabeth, Emily, Madilyn, Heidi Wallenfang and Kreston Kissic; sister, Bobbie Jean Argenzia of Ohio; nieces,Teresa Jean Tucker Corina and Lyn Argenzia Chandler. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Lou Meehan Tucker and a nephew, John Argenzia, Jr.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Thompson officiating.
The American Legion Post#143 will provide Military Honors.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home Sunday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Following the funeral service his body will be cremated. nterment will be in Valley Hill Cemetery in Pell City, Alabama.
