| Carrollton Introduction to BeekeepingDate: Saturday, 2/9Time: 9AM – 12 Noon Registeration Fee: $45 This Introduction to Beekeeping class is for participants who know nothing about honey bees and beekeeping but are curious and may decide to become a beekeeper. Use of PowerPoint presentations and some equipment will be used. No bees will be present. Class meets for 3 hours. Subjects covered include: history, terminology, biology, parts of the beehive, pests and diseases, acquiring a colony, and honey harvesting.
