Temple High School forms unique partnership with Temple community and business leaders. Students get personal welcome from diverse group of professionals on the first day of school.
Temple High School Principal, Tim Gribben, and Temple Mayor, Michael Johnson, are bringing community leaders together to invest thirty minutes in the lives of Temple High School students on the first day of school. These community leaders, representing fields including health care, law, retail, insurance, and finance, will line the halls to personally welcome students as they enter the building. Temple High School’s first annual Invest Thirty event takes place on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 8:10am-8:40am.
“Invest Thirty will be a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with our community. This will allow students to see that what they are doing in school is not only important, but that there are people in our community who support them. When students understand their worth, the sky is the limit,” said Mr. Gribben.
Mayor Michael Johnson said, “I am grateful to our community leaders for their support and participation in the Invest Thirty event. The value to our THS students will be far greater than we can measure.”
