Geneva Wood Bradley, age 79 of Carrollton, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019. She was born February 18, 1940 in Carroll County, Georgia, daughter of the late John W. Wood, Sr., and Effie Maxwell Wood.
She graduated from Whitesburg High School where she achieved perfect attendance throughout her entire school career and worked in the accounting and payroll department at Southwire for more than 38 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Lynn Bradley; sisters, Dura Spruill, Nora Wood, Clara Stitcher and Jean Smith; and brothers, Elbert Wood, Reese Wood, and Jesse James Wood.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Bradley of Carrollton; son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Tanya Bradley of Carrollton; sister, Myrtle Cook of Carrollton; brothers and sister-in-law, J.W. and Helen Wood of Carrollton and Oscar and Telva Wood of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Zach and Ashley Bradley of Roopville, Thad Bradley, Robbie Todd and Tamara Bradley all of Carrollton; great granddaughter, April Bradley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Randy King and Rev. Terry Eason officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jerry Wood, Zach Bradley, Larry Bradley, Robbie Todd, John Wood, and Thad Bradley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 04, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
