Richard Leon Adams, age 75 of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on Friday morning, June 12, 2020. He was born January 22, 1945 in Oxford, Alabama, the son of the late Garland Adams and the late Christine Skinner Adams.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp., was retired from Georgia Power, and was a member of the Bowdon First UMC.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Lovvorn Adams; daughters and sons-in-law: Christi & Ken Runyan and Renee & Ben Cole; sisters and brothers-in-law: Shelia & Mike Rollins and Lawanna & Mark Scott; grandchildren: Sam Runyan, Madison & Will Young, Eli Runyan, Griffin Cole, and Roswell Cole; and great grandson, Cal Young.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the Bowdon First UMC Cemetery with Rev. Randy Simpkins officiating.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Ben Cole, Griffin Cole, Roswell Cole, Ken Runyan, Sam Runyan, and Eli Runyan. Memorial contributions may be made to Bowdon First UMC, 302 Wedowee Street, Bowdon, Georgia, 30108.
