The Georgia Department of Education recently released the 2019 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) scores, and the Carroll County School System has many achievements to celebrate. Carroll County earned an overall district score of 79, which is 3.1 points higher than the state score of 75.9.  

Elementary schools outperformed the state by 8.3% in Content Mastery, showing proficiency in all subject areas. For Content Mastery in the middle schools, the district’s average was above the state average by 6.2%.

These results are in addition to all five Carroll County high schools achieving historic graduation rates over 90% for the second consecutive year. 

“CCRPI calculations are just one of many measures of our schools’ successes. We are very proud of the accomplishments of our students, teachers, and administrators across the district,” said Scott Cowart, Superintendent of Carroll County Schools. “Our employees are positively changing the lives of students, and this is reflected in our improved CCRPI scores and 93.3% district graduation rate, which is the highest ever in Carroll County.  We will continue to use a collaborative approach to ensure each student is prepared to be enrolled, employed, or enlisted upon graduation.”

In addition to the achievements of overall CCRPI scores, all schools received an average/above average climate star rating, with 9 schools earning the highest possible rating of 5-Stars. Climate Star Ratings measure each school using perception data, discipline, safe and substance-free learning environments, and attendance.  

 “In Carroll County, we are committed to focusing on learning and providing premier experiences for our students through our multiple STEM opportunities, advanced pathways, and our philosophy of supporting the whole child,” stated Dr. Jessica Ainsworth, Assistant Superintendent of School Performance.  “As part of our improvement process, we will use CCRPI data as one piece of information to support schools.”
